The 2017 holiday cast member is set to be revealed on the evening of December 18, 2018, in the New Year’s Eve episode of the US television series, The Big Bang Theory.
The cast member will be playing the role of the lead role, played by Rachel Bloom, on the show.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor will play the character of Annie in the episode, in which she has been cast as a new assistant to the main character, Sheldon Cooper, and she will be joined by the other members of the ensemble in a romantic relationship with Sheldon.
The actor will be taking the part for the first time in the show’s 23rd season, which will be aired on February 11.
The Big Bang has a large number of supporting characters who can be seen onscreen during the episode.
According the THR, Bloom will play Annie, a “fiercely loyal” member of the cast who is “in charge of the show.”
She will be the first cast member to play the lead in a television show since actress Jennifer Garner, who played the role in the 2015 film The Dark Knight Rises, in 2015.
This is not the first casting announcement for the role.
In 2017, the Big Bang actor, and several others from the cast, were nominated for various awards.
